COEX
Aquarium
The COEX Aquarium offers not only an opportunity
not just for leisure but for education as well.
It is a theme-oriented aquarium of world class
which promotes Edutainment (Education+ Entertainment).
Under the theme of "The Fantastic Journey of Water",
the COEX Aquarium has produced an environment
closely simulating the real one, to allow children
a chance to acquire first-hand knowledge of the
world of underwater organisms. It will certainly
take every audience on an expedition to a world
they have not yet experienced. The COEX Aquarium
is the first aquarium in Korea to employ the quarantine
tanks of cutting edge technology. Through continuing
studies, it is making a crucial contribution to
the conservation of ocean resources and ecological
research, bringing the development of the ocean
industry a step closer. As the only theme-oriented
commercial aquarium in the country, the COEX Aquarium
is an extremely exciting attraction, both nationwide
and worldwide. The COEX Aquarium boasts facilities
that can beat any other aquarium in the world.
It not only adds to the integrity of the theme

boats operating at each ferry of Jamsil, Ttukseom,

Bongeun
Temple
Just north of the COEX Center, Bongeun-sa
offers a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle
of crowded city life in the midst of busy and
ultra-modern Samseong-dong of the Gangnam-gu
District. The temple is a major center for the
Seon (Zen) sect of Buddhism, which focuses on
meditation. |
