Departure from Donghwa Duty Free Shop → Lunch → Sosuseowon, Seonbichon Village → Seonbichon Village → Buseoksa Temple → Tium Makgeolli Experience → Dinner → Hotel Check-in
Day 2
Breakfast → Museom Single-Log Bridge → Archery Program → Hoeryongpo (Pong Pong Bridge) → Lunch → Rail-Biking 14:00 (Optional: Mungyeong Zip Line) → Arrival at Donghwa Duty Free Shop

Sosuseowon Confucian Academy

It is the first private Neo-Confucian academy in Korea where great minds of the century have been educated and till this day holds collections of many precious resources and materials. During establishment, it was first called 'Baegundongseowon' but after scholar Yi Hwang was appointed as magistrate of the county the name changed to Sosuseowon after appealing to the royal court. The word 'sosu' meant 'to revive the academic system that has fallen' and asked for King Myeongjong to grant the academy a royal charter. The king responded favorably, sending a plaque with the name "Sosu Seowon" in the king's own handwriting.

Seonbichon Village

It is a cradle of Korean Confucianism where the spirit and cultural heritage of Korea's classical scholars are preserved. The village is a great place to learn and experience Korea's traditional ideals and lifestyle.

Buseoksa Temple

It is one of Korea's great 10 Buddhist temples and is built by the Great Monk Uisang in 676 during the reign of King Munmu of Silla Kingdom at his 16th year. The temple holds the greatest wooden building in Korea, Muryangsujeon, and has 5 national treasures, 6 regular treasures, and 2 tangible cultural heritages. The beautiful views of nature stretched out in front of the temple seem like a gentle and merciful Buddha which brings serenity to visitors.
Hoeryongpo Village

Hoeryongpo Village is surrounded by the winding river of twists and curves and the village is jar-shaped. It is known as one of the most unique terrain 『Inland Island Village 』 in Korea. It boasts amazing scenery of clear waters and white sandy shores. The village is famous for filming location of the mega-hit TV drama "Autumn in My Heart (2000).'
Optional: Zipline

A zipline consists of a pulley suspended on a cable, usually made of stainless steel, mounted on a slope. It is a form of entertainment or transportation designed to enable a user propelled by gravity to travel from the top to the bottom of the inclined cable by holding on to the freely moving pulley.

Fermentation experiential learning center operates its own Korean traditional brewery and offers program of making one’s own makgeolli (Korean rice wine). The brewery was established in 2010, and center in 2014 winning a grand prize for creative tourism competition organized by Korea Tourism Organization. The center was chosen by Green-Agricultural Food Tour Business sponsored by Gyeongsangbuk-do and Yeongju City and 900 tourists have visited.
